If you are a parent, grandparent, public agency representative or referring agency who needs the services of The BCV, follow the steps below to begin the application process.

Admission Process

  1. Complete an Application

    The child’s legal custodian should complete the online application request or call to speak with an Intake Specialist. 601-952-2422 ext. 316

  2. Intake Study

    Our Intake Specialist will meet with the child and their legal custodian to get to know their needs and situation of your family.

    Once complete the application will be presented at the next weekly Admissions Committee meeting.

  3. Placement Recommendation

    The Admissions Committee will contact you with a recommendation. If a BCV residential or non-residential program is determined to be best, we will help you take the next steps to get enrolled.

Frequently Asked Questions

If it’s determined that The BCV is not the best fit for a child’s or family’s needs, we will make an alternative recommendation and referral.

The process takes 1-2 weeks after an application is received in our office.

A child can move into their BCV cottage about one week after a decision is made.

Services begin as soon as arrangements can be made with the family. This typically happens within a week.
