Troy Carter, Partner Ministries Associate
In 2012, Troy Carter joined The Baptist Children's Village family on the Fikes-Gatewood campus, serving on the frontlines as a houseparent missionary with his wife Sheryl. They have served as houseparents on the Fikes-Gatewood, Powell-Walley, and Deanash Campuses. Troy served as Campus Director on the Fikes-Gatewood Campus from September 2019 to June 2021. He now serves as a Partner Ministries Associate, thanking donors and churches for supporting the BCV and sharing with them the love that Christ is pouring out on the children on their behalf. Before coming to The Baptist Children's Village, Troy worked many years in product management and sales. Troy has 40-plus years of experience working with young people and was ordained to preach in 2005, enjoying opportunities to fill the pulpit. In his free time, he enjoys woodworking, golf, and travel. Troy and Sheryl have two adult daughters and two grandchildren and are members of First Baptist Church, Amory.
