We exist, as part of the Mississippi Southern Baptist Church, to take the good news of Jesus Christ to at-risk children and families.
The official child caring agency of the Mississippi Baptist Convention.
In our fallen world we are regularly faced with the effects of sin. Crime, addiction, divorce and loss are a tragic part of reality. When children and families are faced with these traumatic experiences the results can be devastating.
The confusion, anxiety and pain these experiences produce can trigger generational cycles that are hard to overcome especially when compounded by a lack of resources or support systems.
The Baptist Children’s Village exists, as part of the Mississippi Southern Baptist Church, to take the good news of Jesus Christ to at-risk children and families. We accomplish this by meeting their physical and emotional needs in a trauma-informed environment.
The Baptist Children’s Village joins thousands of Baptist churches, associations, and ministries who have adopted the Baptist Faith and Message as our confession of faith.
Since our founding in 1897, we have grown to a team of more than 50 professionals who serve over 200 children every year on our seven residential campuses and through our non-residential services.
